What is the difference between the standard ZOLL AED 3® and the ZOLL AED 3® BLS device?

Both devices offer Real CPR Help® technology. But the ZOLL AED 3 is designed for the lay rescue responder with a graphical interface featuring full-color rescue images and works with the CPR Uni-padz™ III electrodes that can be used for either adult or child rescues. The ZOLL AED 3 BLS is designed for professional responders featuring a CPR dashboard similar to ZOLL’s ALS devices. It shows the actual numerical values for depth, rate, and CPR cycle time, while also offering an onscreen ECG if desired.

What is the warranty for the ZOLL AED 3?

8-year warranty (6-year Standard Warranty plus 2-years with Registration)

What is Enhanced Real CPR Help and what feedback does it give?

The CPR Dashboard™ featured on the ZOLL AED 3 BLS shows the actual depth and rate of compressions displayed numerically, along with elapsed time, CPR cycle count, shocks delivered, and ECG.

Does it have to connect to established WiFi for program management or is it built into the unit?

Cloud connectivity enables automatic reporting of device status, giving you confidence your AED is ready in an emergency.

Batteries:

Does the ZOLL AED 3 use consumer batteries like the AED Plus?

The ZOLL AED 3 does not use consumer batteries. Instead it uses an OEM lithium ion battery.

Can I throw my ZOLL battery in the trash when I replace it?

Lithium ion batteries like the one used in the ZOLL AED 3 should not be disposed of in general trash collection receptacles. Contact your local recycling center to find out how to dispose of them according to your area’s guidelines.

Will the CPR-D-padz work with the ZOLL AED 3?

The CPR-D-padz will work with the ZOLL AED 3, but should not be used with pediatric patients. For pediatric patients, either the CPR Uni-padz III or the ZOLL Pedi-padz II should be used.
