In the spirit of the holiday season, AED Superstore owners, management, and employees decided to “pay it forward” and put together an in-house donation drive for a local domestic abuse shelter. The facility, Tri-County Council Lily’s House, is new to our area and is in need of anything and everything. We at AED Superstore are proud to give aid and support to worthy causes in our neighborhood and elsewhere. It is always a good time to help those in need, especially at this time of year!

After several days in the terrible 70 degree sunny weather of San Diego, California – AED Superstore is happy to report the Emergency Cardiovascular Care Update Conference (ECCU) as a wonderful success! The conference showcased the latest science, concepts, ideas and strategies to improve performance, teaching methodology and community response to sudden cardiac arrest (SCA). The ECCU, being the only conference to bring all members of the cardiac chain of survival together, allowed AED Superstore to delve into new concepts including the 2015 American Heart Association Guidelines. Continuing a project started in 2014, American Heart Association (AHA) volunteers will be celebrating American Heart Month in February with their Little Hats, Big Hearts™ Program. The volunteers, of which you could be one, hope to raise awareness of heart disease and congenital heart defects, the number one killer of Americans and the most prevalent birth defect, respectively. The program started in 2014 in Chicago and calls upon volunteers to knit or crochet little red hats. Volunteers collected over 300 hats the first year which were then distributed to participating hospitals and given to all babies born in February. The …

On December 10, 2016, an estimated 1,000 people will march through the streets of San Diego to support the “Citizen CPR Foundation’s CPR Saves Lives March”. The march will take place during the Emergency Cardiovascular Care Update (ECCU) conference taking place in San Diego this week. The intent of the march is to bring awareness to the hundreds of thousands of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) victims who could be saved each year if communities would focus on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training for citizens, improved cardiac care systems, and by implementing more automated external defibrillator (AED) programs.
