Philips Healthcare discontinued the HeartStart XL+ Defibrillator/Monitor (Model 861290) for sale in the United States only beginning on May 1, 2015, and will continue to support U.S. customers for service, support, upgrades, supplies, accessories, and spare parts through January 31, 2020. The HeartStart XL+ Defibrillator/Monitor continues to be sold outside the United States.

The Heartstart XL+ uses a similar interface, alarms, as well as identical cables and accessories as the MRx and other Philips monitors. Because it is built on a scalable platform you can customize your XL+ with the functions that best meet the needs of your staff, from BLS responders to ALS clinicians.
Features like a fast battery recharge time, easily visible "ready" indicator and power status show the XL+ is ready for use. Biphasic defibrillation therapy and synchronized cardioversion make the XL+ the only defibrillator in AED mode that can defibrillate any patient - adult, child, or infant - with no special pads or accessories required.
